Visitor in Blackwood Grove

A spacecraft crashes in Blackwood Grove, trapping a mysterious Visitor behind a forcefield that repels some objects but allows others through. One player creates the forcefield’s secret rule, while the Kid and the Agents test cards to identify it. The Kid works with the Visitor and tries to solve the rule first; the Agents gather information and compete to discover it before her.

A good game of guessing that innovates within its market. PROS - New mechanics: it has cooperative and competitive gaming going on at the same time, bluffing, guessing and deducting. The mix feels fresh and its parts work well together. - Simple concept that allows almost anyone to play. - The Stranger-Thingery theme is cool. CONS - With some people, the game may lack interest due to them creating weak pass rules. - Guessing is not a mechanic for everyone, as it may be frustrating when you are not grasping the concepts.
