Players fight brigade-level combat in the American Civil War. The set includes scenarios for the two-day Battle of Shiloh and the three-day Battle of Bentonville, with forces maneuvering, attacking, and attempting to hold or break through opposing lines. Bentonville also introduces a solitaire system. An extension map and scenarios for Gettysburg explore alternative histories, including a battle that develops differently without lost Confederate orders and an outcome where Pickett’s Charge never occurs.
