A shadow-cloaked dwarven hold lies in a vast cavern beneath the human village of Wellswood, beside the dark waters of Lake Thraren. Humans and dwarves fish the lake and harvest strange fungi and plants in an uneasy peace, while rising taxes threaten the settlement. The Erdikr clan fortifies the hold, seeks to attract more dwarves, and secretly considers reclaiming their fallen, dragon-infested strongholds to the south.
