Fighting Sail: Fleet Actions 1775–1815

A tabletop miniatures wargame of fleet battles from the American War of Independence through the Napoleonic Wars and the War of 1812. Players command fleets with distinct ships, crew abilities, tactics, and admirals, recreating historical engagements or creating alternative scenarios. Designed for 1/1200-scale ship miniatures, the hex-less rules use movement and turning templates, measuring tools, and pools of six-sided dice. Dice tests determine movement, combat, damage control, and other actions, with results based on ship and crew capability. Fleets aim to reduce opposing morale through damage, collisions, and ships being sunk, captured, or forced to strike. Points-based fleet building, eight fleet lists, and six engagement scenarios are included.
