Harpoon: Captain's Edition

A streamlined naval combat simulation for beginning players, set in the GIUK Gap between Greenland, Iceland, and the United Kingdom. Players command NATO or Soviet task forces of surface ships, submarines, patrol aircraft, and tactical jets across an 18×21 hexagonal map. Radar, sonar, and visual searches reveal opposing forces, while naval guns and surface-to-surface and air-to-surface missiles are resolved with dice and data cards. The weapon systems are abstracted for accessibility while retaining a modern naval warfare theme, with introductory scenarios designed for a quick setup and first game.
