The Battle of Stalingrad
A two-player operational wargame covering the German and Soviet campaigns around Stalingrad. Players command armies and corps across a map of the region, allocating supplies, moving forces tactically and strategically, attaching assets, and pursuing objectives. The two sides use different sequences of play and procedures reflecting their historical operations. German objectives are randomly determined and hidden, while Soviet players choose how to distribute supplies and when to launch the Uranus counteroffensive. Operations in the Caucasus can provide additional victory points but draw units away from the main battle. Sudden-death victories are possible, with final scoring based on key locations, objectives, and other adjustments.
