Spanish Checkers

A Spanish variant of checkers played on an 8×8 board, traditionally known as juego de damas and also played across the Iberian Peninsula, North Africa, and parts of Central and South America. Players move pieces diagonally forward and capture opposing pieces. Promoted pieces become flying kings, which can move and capture across multiple squares, as in International Checkers.
