18OE: On the Rails of the Orient Express

A continental 18xx railway game that covers the whole of Europe and centers on getting a train from the western capitals to Constantinople. Players buy and sell shares in five tiers of companies—Private, Minor, Regional, Major, and National—and the majority shareholder in each company controls its actions on the map. Company actions move trains, place track and stations, and affect share prices; players collect dividends and endgame cash from their stock holdings. The largest company objective ties into an Orient Express route that players develop through trackbuilding and train purchases. Scenarios range from shorter 4–6 hour setups to a full campaign that can take a full day to complete.
