Aquileia

Players act as wealthy patricians in a prosperous Roman city, competing to gain influence through trading, building and participating in public spectacles. Each round begins with a placement phase where players assign henchmen to action spaces and place a tiebreaker token; actions are then resolved in numeric order. Actions include buying goods and slaves and exchanging currency at the market; competing in the Arena and Stadium using dice, weapon/slave/horse cards and earning coins or laurel cards; bidding for laurel cards in the theater; constructing villas and banks in the forum by paying specific coin costs; and activating buildings at the port to collect money or points. After six rounds players score hidden point cards and multiply villa values by matching laurel cards to determine the winner.
