Asymmetric strategy in 1980s Afghanistan with uncertain loyalties. One side commands the Afghan government and supporting Soviet forces, while the other directs tribal rebels and Mujahideen fighters. Players use cards to replenish, activate, and move units across an area-based map, with battles occurring when opposing forces share a space. Hidden unit stances, defections, betrayals, and strategy cards shape the conflict. Solo rules provide a card-assisted Soviet opponent for the insurgent side.
