Bruxelles 1897
Players compete to establish reputations in Brussels during the 1897 World’s Fair by building Art Nouveau projects, producing and selling artworks, and courting the city’s elite. Play proceeds over four rounds using Architect cards to take actions: replace Action cards in the Art Nouveau area (paying the Architect’s value) or spend multiple Architects for free actions in the Brussels area, with the risk of one being imprisoned. Actions earn points, trigger advances on several tracks, and grant end-of-round bonuses based on card placement majorities. After four rounds and final scoring, the player with the highest total points wins.

Evan5,0 Players bid for columns of bonuses by placing workers into the space to claim the effect. The last player to put into a column, if they have the money, can essentially always claim or tie for the end of the round bonus, which puts a big emphasis on turn order more than any positive decisions you try to make. The process of play is interesting enough, and I would have been more able to relate a positive if uninspired play experience if the final round endgame criteria weren't so absolutely critical to success, and were again completely subject to the final round turn order as the endgame scoring cards are claimed in the same way the abilities are. It can be doubally rough if the cards you need didn't happen to flip in the final round.
