Bug Council of Backyardia
The Bug Council convenes as ants, flies, bees, mosquitos and cockroaches vie for influence in Backyardia. Manipulate the shifting strength of each faction to support the suits that serve your plans. This trick-taking game uses a mancala mechanism across three rounds. Players follow suit when possible, with the strongest card in the strongest suit winning each trick. The lowest card played in the led suit visits the Council, choosing a faction and redistributing its strength cubes to alter the balance of power. A final card establishes allegiance and may provide a scoring bonus.
