Caldiero 1796

This tactical board wargame simulates Bonaparte’s attack on the numerically superior Coalition forces commanded by Austrian General Josef Alvintzy during the 1796 campaign in northern Italy. Using the Napoleon’s Last Battles system, players maneuver infantry and cavalry regiments and artillery demi-brigades across a map scaled at roughly 480 meters per hex. Special rules represent the differing leadership abilities of individual generals, with each game turn covering about one hour.
