When the marketplace opens, farmers trade produce and sell sets at the prices shown on market cards. Common goods such as peppers and lemons are worth less, while rarer items such as olive oil score more. Players negotiate trades with one another, using action cards to force or prevent exchanges, secure bargains, and alter the flow of the market. The game includes 132 cards and a score pad.
