Cradle of Civilization

Two complete wargames present alternate contests for dominance in the Ancient Near East. One game covers the Bronze and Iron Ages, letting players draft and develop civilizations that rise, expand, build wonders, place cities, and survive events such as the Bronze Age collapse; surviving polities can continue to grow and random events can create historically plausible but unexpected outcomes. The other game simulates Alexander’s campaign against Persia, with a war-weariness track for the invading army, options for Persian naval raids and internal rebellions, and mechanics for legitimacy and strategic choices that can alter the historical outcome.
