In the ruined kingdom of Drangleic, the aftermath of a war against the giants has left castles, settlements, and old powers in decay. Players take on a purpose such as seeking power, truth, or riches while traveling through a dangerous land where losing one’s sense of purpose carries its own consequences. Reaching King Vendrick and the remains of his castle requires securing four ancient giant souls, or finding another way through the ruins. The journey centers on exploration, perilous encounters, and uncovering the history of a fallen kingdom.
