Ghastly Affair Presenter's Manual

A guide for running a Gothic game of romantic horror set during the Ghastly Age, an era associated with Marie-Antoinette, the Marquis de Sade, and Napoleon. It provides advice on preparing sessions, creating Gothic plots, and maintaining the appropriate atmosphere. The manual includes creatures and adversaries ranging from wolf packs and Possessor Demons to decadent aristocrats and raging lunatics. A chronology of incidents and scandals from 1765 to 1820 supplies plot ideas and background details, alongside genre conventions, expanded rules for drugs and diseases, alternate Ability Contest rules, and guidance for depicting incarnations of Death, the Devil, and other supernatural forces.
