High Atop Dragonmount: The Legend of the Stronghold of Arolon

This introductory fantasy adventure takes place in Karathfen, a remote province of the declining Empire of Hothrondor. Designed for a party of four to six first-level characters, it sends new adventurers on their first major expedition into a dangerous and potentially profitable stronghold. Players explore the site, uncover clues, face monsters, and claim treasure. The adventure emphasizes careful play, cooperation, and meaningful risks, with encounters that can prove deadly for unprepared parties. It is written for BECMI or Rules Cyclopedia-era play and can be adapted to other early editions of fantasy roleplaying games.
