Hold the Line

Hold the Line is a board game for 2 players. It plays in 60 minutes.

Command British and American forces across twelve engagements from the American Revolutionary War, including both phases of Monmouth and battles such as Long Island, Trenton, Brandywine and Kings Mountain. Players take the roles of historical generals and maneuver infantry, dragoons and artillery on a mounted board with terrain tiles and thick counters. Gameplay follows the Clash for a Continent system, resolving movement, combat and command decisions as each side attempts to hold or break defensive lines. Scenarios present varied tactical problems and force compositions, emphasizing positioning, unit types and timing over multiple separate historical battles.
