Knock Out Whist

A simple trick-taking card game with a knockout twist. Players follow suit when possible, with the highest trump or highest card of the suit led winning each trick. Seven hands are played, beginning with seven cards per player and decreasing to one. The player taking the most tricks in a hand chooses the trump suit for the next hand. Any player taking no tricks is knocked out, except the first such player, who receives a reprieve. The winner takes the final trick or remains when all other players are eliminated.
