A New Dawn: The French 1789 Revolution

A hidden-identity political game set during the French Revolution. Players represent competing factions with different ideologies and victory conditions. Each turn, an event is revealed and the active player chooses an action involving the press, government, assembly, army, or popularity. Players gather resources, recruit leaders, purchase cards, vote on laws, fight counterrevolutionaries and foreign forces, and sometimes cooperate to protect the Revolution. The game ends when a faction achieves its goal, all players are defeated, or three terms of office have passed, after which victory points are counted.
