The heroes help the dwarf Cobaltosch and are chosen by his clan to recover an amulet belonging to Turmaline, a sought-after dwarven woman who will marry whoever returns it to her. The amulet lies in the Shadowlands, and rival suitors pursue the same goal. The group travels through Tobria to Calador, a deserted settlement filled with danger. They must enter an abandoned mine, face remnants of Borbaradian horrors, and decide which competitor can be trusted. This journey and escort adventure combines travel, social encounters, combat, and a dungeon expedition.
