A tabletop roleplaying game for gritty adventures in low- or moderate-magic fantasy settings. It uses a familiar d20 core with nine classes, flexible character abilities, dangerous combat, uncertain magic, and a level cap that keeps powerful spells and monsters in check. Players explore sandbox worlds, make attribute checks, use skills and exploits to handle challenges, and improvise stunts in and out of combat. Rules and tables support short rests, delayed recovery, retreats, chases, exploration, encounters, hazards, treasure, hirelings, mass battles, naval combat, and more. The game includes over 130 monsters, rare magic items, custom monster guidelines, and tools for GM improvisation.
