Magic: the Gathering

Magic: the Gathering is a board game for 0 players.

A collectible card game set in a multiverse of connected fantasy planes. Players build decks from a pool of cards that represent creatures, spells, artifacts and lands, then use those decks to cast spells, summon creatures and attack opponents to reduce their life total. Gameplay centers on resource management and tactical sequencing: players tap land cards to generate mana of five colored types, spend mana to play cards, and respond to opponents via a stack of actions. Deck construction, mana curve and card synergies determine strategy across formats ranging from casual draft and sealed play to constructed competitive decks.
