A rules-light fantasy roleplaying game inspired by early Basic and Expert-era fantasy RPGs. Players create characters by rolling four attributes and choosing a class, background, and alignment. Standard classes include Fighter, Magic-User, Cleric, Thief, Dwarf, Elf, and Halfling, with additional optional classes and ancestries. Combat tracks physical damage separately from luck, skill, and fatigue. Hit points recover with a night’s rest, while actual wounds heal more slowly, and spells cost hit points to cast. The rules also cover hirelings, monster reactions and morale, strongholds, magic research, spells, monsters, and optional systems such as saving throws, psionics, character goals, and divine intervention. The system is compatible with many B/X and BECMI-based games and adventures.
