Mirkwood Campaign

A campaign framework for Adventures in Middle-earth that follows the struggle against the Shadow in Mirkwood and Wilderland over thirty years, from 2947 to the death of King Bard. Player-heroes encounter events such as the Parliament of Spiders, the Nazgûl, the Wizards, and the halls of King Thranduil while shaping the fate of the Woodmen and the wider region. Rather than presenting a fixed sequence of adventures, the supplement outlines each year with locations, NPCs, major events, and a suggested adventure for every Adventuring Phase. It also includes rules for personal holdings and Shadows in the Forest, linking Journeys to characters’ backgrounds and giving them a lasting stake in the world.
