Nakasendo

Nakasendo is a board game for 2–4 players. It plays in 30–45 minutes and is meant for ages 10 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 4.

A strategic tile-laying game inspired by the historic route between Edo and Kyoto during Japan’s Edo period. Players build a journey between Tsumago and Magome by placing path tiles, adding discoveries, and shaping routes through mountains, cedar forests, and ancient post towns. Seasonal events bring snow and bears onto the trail, while changing scoring conditions require players to adapt their plans. The player who creates the most rewarding path wins.
