No Retreat! Italian Front: 1943-45

A divisional-level simulation of the 1943–45 Italian campaign using the No Retreat system. Players maneuver, attack and defend across a series of linked maps that represent the length of the Italian peninsula, resolving operations in monthly turns and switching play maps as the front shifts. Turn structure alternates between quiet months of limited frontline attrition and active offensive turns that permit multiple moves, activations and combats using Target/Counterblow mechanics. The game models amphibious invasions, fortified positions and major set-piece battles, and includes event and secret campaign plan cards that grant varied effects and hidden objectives. Includes scenarios for the full campaign, shorter early/late campaigns, and a standalone Sicily mini-game that can be linked into the main campaign.
