Paul Koenig's Fortress Europe

A two-player wargame covering the campaign in Western Europe from the D-Day invasion in June 1944 through VE-Day. The Allied player selects a landing site, establishes a beachhead, breaks out across France, and attempts to penetrate Germany. The German player deploys forces, including hidden units, to defend the coast and stop the invasion. If the landing fails, the German player conducts a delaying withdrawal across France while seeking an opportunity for a winter counterattack. The game includes a large paper map, die-cut counters, player aids, and rules for the campaign.
