Plug the Gap (fan expansion for MBT (Second Edition))

A historical scenario set in a hypothetical 1979–80 engagement in the Fulda Gap, recreating an encounter between an M60A3 tank company of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment and a reinforced Soviet motorized rifle battalion with BMP‑2s and T‑64BVs that has penetrated the screen line. Players deploy forces using maps scaled to 100 meters per hex and use rules and counters from the base MBT Second Edition; the expansion provides nine 11×17 maps, scenario briefings, US and Soviet battle books with orders of battle and deployment instructions, and an errata sheet. The Soviet side seeks to move a majority of its force off the map’s west edge while the US side tries to destroy the advance guard and restore the screen. The scenario reflects the designer’s platoon‑level experience in Fulda, is deliberately asymmetrical and not inherently balanced, and supports two to multiple players per side (or a referee) with optional substitute counters or additional expansion units to flesh out the order of battle.
