Pocket General: World War 2

A compact two-player World War II strategy game in which Germany or Japan faces Russia or the United States. Players recruit units, place them on a three-hex battlefield, and use each unit’s different strengths across various locations. Combat values determine the odds, while unevenly distributed Operations dice add uncertainty and allow reversals. Conquered locations are placed on war markers as players seek to force the opponent’s capitulation. Alternatively, a player can unlock and capture the opposing capital during the late war. Games take about 45 minutes and include feints, redeployment, and country-specific units.
