Players take the role of Free Captains roaming the Rim as traders and mercenaries while secretly serving the Intergalactic Council on a covert mission. They explore planets infiltrated by three alien races, search for hidden Super Weapons, and work to prevent an invasion through a mix of combat, diplomacy, and science. Gameplay centers on a bag-building system that adds and removes custom dice used for conflicts. Cards represent space sectors and events to explore, and six unique dice resolve combat situations. The expansion introduces additional adventurers, new alien allies, and a two-player variant that broadens the base-game options.
