Railroad Barons

Railroad Barons is a board game for 2 players. It plays in 45 minutes and is meant for ages 12 and up.

A two-player 18xx-style game of finance and investment, played without a map or track tiles. Players buy and sell shares in holding companies, while the companies they control acquire railroads that provide fixed income. Older railroads become obsolete as more modern companies enter play, requiring continual planning for future growth and investment. Cards and tokens represent five holding companies, railroad companies, and private investors. Players compete to control the strongest holdings, exploit weaker assets, and build a financial advantage through entirely deterministic play.
