Railroad Ink: Blazing Red Edition

Draw rail and road routes on a personal erasable board to connect as many exits as possible across a volcanic landscape. Each round, shared dice reveal segments and special events; players sketch the indicated tiles to extend tracks and roads, manage incomplete lines, and optimize connections against opponents. Two expansion dice introduce lava flows and meteor strikes that block, destroy, or alter spaces and add new objectives like mining impact craters, forcing adaptation each game. Supports solo or multiplayer (1–6 per box) and scales by combining boxes for more players.

Bought it because I wanted something different, and that is what this game gives us. Great to play with kids. Don´t play very often or you will have to buy Deep Blue Edition. Great detail the fact you can erase the boards, not wasting paper (unlike Welcome To). Artwork is very good too.

Regelspørgsmål

Besvaret ud fra regelbogen af Ludoyas regelassistent.

Can I rotate or flip a Route from the dice before drawing it?

Yes — when drawing Routes you can freely rotate and/or reverse the pattern shown on the die before placing it on your board (rulebook, p.5).

Do I have to place all four dice results each round?

You must draw all 4 Routes shown on the dice each round if you can, but if a Route can’t be connected you simply can’t draw it (rulebook, p.5).

How many Special Routes can I use and when can I play them?

You may draw one Special Route per round in addition to the dice, each Special Route can be used only once per game, and you may use at most 3 Special Routes in the whole game — mark them off when used (rulebook, p.6).

Does an Overpass connect two crossing Networks the same way a Station does?

No — Overpasses let a Highway and Railway cross without connecting them, whereas Stations allow you to connect Railway Routes to Highway Routes (rulebook, pp.4 and 8).

What counts as an Error and how many points do Errors cost?

Each open end of a Route that does not connect to another Route or the outer edge is an Error (marked ⊗), costing −1 point per Error; ties are broken by fewest Errors (rulebook, p.7).

How do I score the Longest Highway/Longest Railway and do Stations interrupt them?

Longest Highway (and Longest Railway) is the longest unbroken chain of adjacent Highway (or Railway) spaces and scores 1 point per space for the single longest branch; Stations do not interrupt Highways (rulebook, p.9).
