Samurai: Warfare in 16th Century Japan

A tactical wargame set during the Sengoku period, recreating major 16th-century Japanese battles and their leaders. Players command clans on a hex map at a scale of 100 yards per hex, maneuvering units that represent roughly 100 men per strength point alongside individual leaders and samurai. Turns simulate roughly 20 minutes each and resolve movement, command, and combat using a streamlined command system and simplified shock and fire mechanics. Scenarios include historical engagements such as Okehazama, Kawanakajima, Nagashino, and Sekigahara, with special rules for challenges between samurai, castle actions, weather effects, and musket volleys against cavalry.
