The Charge of the 3 Kings: Navas de Tolosa 1212

Recreates the 1212 clash between Christian and Almohad forces on the Iberian Peninsula. Players command formations with unique units and abilities, manage tactical and strategic card decks, and pursue battlefield objectives over a configurable scenario. Play proceeds through an impulse-based turn structure: each player draws cards, alternates activating three formations in separate impulses, and may play tactical cards (including reactions during an opponent’s impulse) and strategic cards at any time. The system supports interruptions and rule-altering cards, producing shifting plans and asymmetric play. A scenario book provides historical context and setup for the engagement.
