The Island Cairn
An OSRIC adventure for characters of 2nd to 3rd level, set near the Free City. Rumors circulate about a newly discovered cairn in the hills to the north, but its location is unknown. A surly dwarf offers to sell the adventurers a map for 500 gold pieces, leaving them to determine whether it is genuine, whether he can be trusted, and whether the site has already been looted. The adventure begins in an alley outside the Gray Goblin, a disreputable tavern near the Thieves Quarter. Players negotiate with the dwarf, investigate the rumors, and travel in search of the cairn and whatever dangers or treasures it contains.
