The Little Land: The Battle of Novorossiysk

A company-level wargame depicting the Battle of Novorossiysk on the Eastern Front, fought from February 4–9, 1943. Soviet forces attempt a surprise amphibious invasion to break the German defense around the Kuban, with naval bombardments, paratroopers, tanks, artillery, and infantry shaping the battle. Players command company- and platoon-sized units across hex-based maps, using special rules for amphibious operations and other features of Eastern Front warfare. Six scenarios support one or two players, with each game turn representing approximately two hours and play ranging from a few hours to a full campaign.
