The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Deck: The Blood of Gondor

Heroes pursue fleeing Orcs into the woods of Ithilien only to be surrounded by hidden enemies that enter play facedown and later reveal dangerous effects. The deck adds new encounter cards and specific instructions for replacing parts of the scenario encounter deck, increasing the number of effects that force players to take hidden cards and that flip them faceup. Play emphasizes managing facedown threats, timing flips, and reacting to triggered surprises when hidden cards are revealed. The deck is designed to remodel an existing scenario into a harder, darker version with tougher enemies, more hazardous locations, and additional encounter effects.
