Players act as quack doctors who brew potions by drawing ingredient chips from personal bags and placing them into a shared pot track one at a time. Each chip has a value that determines how far it advances in the spiral; players push their luck to score higher-value placements while avoiding too many explosive chips that make a pot burst and reduce rewards. After each round, players score victory points and earn coins to buy stronger ingredients for their bags, with exploded pots forcing a choice between points or coins. This edition bundles the base game with an expansion that adds one-use witch powers and extra ingredient books, plus a small add-on that modifies endgame scoring conditions.
