Players take the roles of rival galactic civilizations vying for dominance through warfare, diplomacy, trade, and technological advancement. A modular map of hex tiles and fleets of plastic ships form the theater for strategic movement, conquest, and resource contention, while faction-unique abilities and political agendas shape negotiation and alliances. Turn structure uses command tokens and action programming to regulate movement and combat, and large decks of strategy, objective, and event cards drive scoring and long-term goals over an extended play session.

Joc de civilitzacions espacials amb guerra, diplomacia, tecnologies, races asimétriques, etc... Té rejugabilitat infinita i és imposible cremarlo. A més, hi han un munt de variants que canvien el joc totalment (objectius secrets o descoberts, mapes predefinits, distant suns, etc...). Les partides es poden allargar molt (fins a més de 10h...) i es necessiten 4 o més jugadors per poder jugar. Es necesaria la primera expansio per poder jugar en condicions, ja que la carta de estrategia 8 del joc bàsic és totalment desequilibrant... Actualització després de més partides: em continua semblant un imprescindible, tot i que hi han certes mecàniques que no m'acaben de convencer del tot: la política és un afegit que només fa que allargar el joc i no aporta gaire, hi han algunes cartes de acció molt desnivellades, i les condicions de victoria no acaben de funcionar bé al 100% (alguns objectius son més fàcils per unes races que per unes altres, etc...). Les partides se'm fan massa llargues i, al final, poden resultar fins i tot repetitives. Massa guerra freda.
