Volley & Bayonet: Road to Glory

A miniatures rules system for recreating battles of the black powder era, from approximately 1700 to 1890, with particular emphasis on the Napoleonic period. Each stand represents 1,000–3,000 soldiers or 6–18 guns, using a ground scale of 1 inch to 100 yards. Players divide their forces into wings, use deployment cards to determine their arrival, and fight battles to their conclusion. The rules include revised skirmisher mechanics, adjustments for linear infantry and massed formations, and rules for dispersed artillery. Scenarios and orders of battle cover engagements including Trebbia, Marengo, Austerlitz, Eylau, Talavera, and Quatre Bras.
