Warriors of Japan: A Country Aflame 1335-1339

This historical wargame covers the Nanboku-chō period of Japan, when the Northern and Southern Courts fought for control following the destruction of the Kamakura shogunate. The game focuses on the crucial years from 1336 to 1339. Players command opposing forces using a system adapted from a medieval campaign game. Leaders can change sides during combat, while revised movement and combat rules reflect the period’s shifting alliances. A random game-start generator creates different initial situations. The game includes one scenario, supports solitaire play, and typically takes 4–10 hours.
