Ylandyss

Players build personal decks in a fantasy setting, acquiring cards from a common market each turn. Turns revolve around gaining resources and competing for access and turn-order position to buy desired cards. Combat and card effects provide multiple viable strategies, from aggressive fights to tactical combos or balanced approaches. Timing decisions—when to engage opponents and when to hold back—are central to success, and the shared market changes opportunities each round.

Regelspørgsmål

Besvaret ud fra regelbogen af Ludoyas regelassistent.

If I pass during the melee, am I out for the rest of the round?

Only if you are not currently tied for the highest force; then you cannot play more cards this phase. If you are the strongest player and have more than 1 force, you may play or pass again when your turn comes around (p. 5).

Can I play a spell or miracle just because I have the card in my hand?

No. You must control a wizard to play a spell or a cleric to play a miracle, and that character’s level must be at least the action’s level. You may play multiple spells or miracles in a melee if you meet the requirement each time (p. 4).

When a character is exhausted, does its ability stop working too?

No. An exhausted character contributes no force, but its text still has effect and it can still let you play spells or miracles if it is a wizard or cleric. If it is readied again, add its force back to your total (pp. 4–5).

How many coins does the melee winner get?

The winner gets 1 coin plus the total value of cards played by their opponents; do not count the value of their own cards. Put all coins gained during resolution in your loot area, not your chest (p. 5).

Can I buy a reinforcement with coins in my chest, and does buying one affect my force?

You may pay with loot coins, discarded cards from your hand (each counts as 1 coin), or a combination—but not with coins in your chest. You also reduce your force by the card’s cost, so you cannot buy a card whose cost would take your force below 0; at 0 force, you cannot buy any card (pp. 5–6).

When do coins in my chest end the game, and how are victory points counted?

At the start of the final phase, the game ends if a player has 20 coins in their chest, or 15 in a first game. Then each player totals the value of cards in their deck plus coins in their chest; the highest total wins (p. 7).
