Advanced Squad Leader: Starter Kit #4 – Pacific Theater of Operations

This module places small-unit combat in the Pacific Theater, adding Imperial Japanese and U.S. Marine Corps forces and terrain such as jungle, atolls, and Asian interior maps. Players command squads, leaders, and support weapons across three mapboards using counters that represent step-reducing Japanese infantry and familiar Allied units. Gameplay uses a streamlined Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit rule set adapted for Pacific operations, including simplified rules for banzai charges, concealment, and close-quarters hand-to-hand combat. Eight self-contained scenarios recreate actions from Guadalcanal, Luzon, Myitkyina and other Pacific/China-Burma-India engagements and require no prior Starter Kit components or experience to play.
