Ausonia: Remnants of War

An expansion adds three new guilds—heavy fighters, city guards and a clerical order—each with distinct keywords and mechanics that alter faction interactions. Guard-themed DEFENSE cards mitigate or block negative effects, while soldier-led INFILTRATION cards temporarily disrupt an opponent’s deck and engine. A set of randomized EVENT cards introduces global, game-wide incidents that change conditions each round. Contents include additional guild cards, defense and infiltrate cards, event cards and a rulebook. The expansion integrates with the base game to expand tactical options and increase variability in player interaction.

- Expansion - The new Guilds are mandatory if you like Ausonia. Playing with the same 5 base Guilds every time can become samey pretty quickly. These feature new keywords allowing for more player interaction in different ways, from hatedrafting to directly messing with the opponent's decks. The Event cards are nice but absolutely minor. Fantastic expansion, greatly enhances the base game.
