Players portray four upper-class gentlemen in Southampton during a prosperous decade of social optimism. Their concerns initially involve courtship, social intrigues, and arranging parties, but a sinister mystery soon draws innocent people into a web of strange figures, murders, and hidden connections. The story begins as the gentlemen await the return of Dr. Drake’s brother from Argentina.
