Dicey Chess

A chess variant in which armies are represented by dice, with each die showing a different chess piece. Players move a die according to the movement rules of its current piece, then usually roll it, potentially changing its role and altering future plans. Kings, rooks, bishops, knights, and pawns retain their familiar movement rules. Victory comes by checkmating the opposing king or moving one’s own king onto the opponent’s starting king space.
