Elusive Victory: The Air War over the Suez Canal, 1967-1973

A tactical-operational simulation of air warfare over the Suez Canal during the conflicts of 1967–1973. Players command opposing air forces—Egyptian and allied units versus Israeli forces—managing sorties that range from close air support for ground troops to deep strikes into enemy territory across a map stretching from the Sinai to the Nile. The system adapts an established air-combat engine to the Canal theater and models period weaponry and defenses, including surface-to-air missiles (SA-3, SA-6), man-portable SAMs, self-propelled AAA, and cruise missiles, with counters representing the principal aircraft types and air defense systems of the southern front.
