Players lead one of four competing wizarding schools on a chain of floating islands populated by five colorful student types: red dragons, pink fairies, yellow gnomes, blue unicorns, and green frogs. On each turn a player plays a card, places three students onto islands or into school areas, and moves Mother Nature a specified number of steps to trigger island scoring. When Mother Nature ends on an island, control is resolved and a tower may be placed to claim it; adjacent islands controlled by the same player can merge into larger islands. The game ends when islands are reduced, the student supply is exhausted, or a player places all towers, and the player with the most towers wins. Optional advanced character powers and team or variant modes add asymmetric abilities and alternate play styles.
